Mineral Farmer's Market
We do hope you'll come and pick up the freshest, most local and seasonally available food we can bring to you and your family.
Lastly, we cheerfully accept SNAP/EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and P(andemic)-EBT cards. And through grant monies, we can match your purchases with up to $30 in fruits and veg per week! Read more: See the Market Manager, Becky, to use your card. She'll be at the Daily Reprieve Soapery booth.
The Mineral Farmer's Market is thriving! We average 30 vendors each Saturday and there always seems to be something new and exciting to look at.
Yup, we're a "Farmer's Market". Our farmers grow what they sell, know what they grow, and are proud of their food. Fresh, locally grown produce is our game, and our veggies are grown thousands of miles closer than some competitors. These same small farms also supply us with pork, chicken, beef, eggs and honey. The Mineral Farmer's Market is also proud of our other producers. Seasonally, you might catch an alpaca wool spinning demonstration, learn about plant care and pest management, try homemade hand-churned ice cream with seasonal fruit (yum!), meet a chicken or a goat, and pick up goat milk soap and other body care treats. There are yard ornaments, honey, herbs and teas, gorgeous flowers and plants available as well as offerings from our talented local bakers. You MUST try the pork sausage, grilling sauces, fabulous jams, jellies and pickles, and take home some homemade tamales. Of course you can sit in the shade of the redbud trees and enjoy a picnic lunch with your friends and family.

We ask that produce and plant sellers (farmers) sell veggies and plants grown by their hand within the Commonwealth of Virginia, and that bakers sell only things they created. (No MLMs/resellers/yard sale/flea market items please!)

The mural at the Mineral Farmer's Market is based on an original painting by Janice Abercrombie Fitch.
Special thanks to the Whitlock Family for donating their beautiful field; and to the Town of Mineral for its assistance in keeping the field groomed, and for maintaining the awesome mural.
